Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, brackets, and housings for automotive lighting applications in Irvine, CA. The role requires creating precise 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups, and supporting prototyping, testing, and production activities.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, electrical, and supplier teams, participate in design reviews, and implement engineering changes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of mechanical design experience.
Proficiency in CATIA, Creo, NX, or SolidWorks.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing processes.
Basic experience with automotive lighting/lamp components preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, brackets, and housings.
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups.
Support design reviews, prototyping, testing, and production activities.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, electrical, and supplier teams.
Support automotive lighting/lamp design, including mechanical packaging, mounting, and integration.
Implement engineering changes and design improvements.
