Job summary

Searchmasters Inc in Erie, Pennsylvania seeks a design engineer to lead the design, prototyping, and launch of next-generation vehicle lighting solutions for major OEM customers. You will design and develop mechanical components from concept through production, manage the full design project lifecycle, and guide customers through the quoting process.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with electrical and optical design engineers to drive products through successful launch and perform GD&T

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in plastic part design, automotive design, or electro/mechanical products.
• BS in Engineering — preference for ME, MET, or Plastics Engineering.
• GD&T experience and tolerance analysis.
• Experience guiding customers through quoting and production readiness.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience, preferably in plastic part design, automotive design, or electro/mechanical products
• BS Degree in Engineering required — preference for Mechanical Engineering (ME), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), or Plastics Engineering
