Job summary

Bay Advanced Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to own the design, analysis, development, and testing of complex mechanical systems and automated machinery.

Ideal candidates have strong 3D modeling skills in SolidWorks, GD&T proficiency, and experience with PLM/PDM tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical product design experience, ideally with automation or integrated systems.
• Proficient in SolidWorks 3D modeling with large assemblies and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience using PLM/PDM tools (SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter) for data management & revision control.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly.
• Design mechanical structures and frames for integrated automation systems.
• Perform mechanical, thermal, and structural analyses (FEA/CFD) to validate designs.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and software teams to integrate components.
• Support prototyping, testing, DFMA, and documentation including BOMs and ECOs.
