Job summary

HAHN Automation Group are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for their Miamisburg, OH site to design automated manufacturing equipment. You will develop mechanical concepts, create 3D models, and produce detailed drawings in collaboration with electrical and software teams.

Responsibilities include drafting packages, ensuring budgets and schedules, supporting testing, and mentoring junior staff. Travel may be required; strong SolidWorks and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years machine design/engineering experience.
• Experience in special machine industry preferred.
• SolidWorks and 3D design proficiency.
• Ability to evaluate quotes and customer designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs that meet functional and technical requirements within budget/time.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers, and customers to deliver projects.
• Prepare drawings for manufacture and assembly per standards.
• Manage budgets and schedules, correct variances quickly.
• Provide technical support and assist in runoff and testing.
• Mentor junior staff and pursue ongoing training.
