Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor. You will collaborate with the engineering team to design functional mechanical systems while ensuring all documentation adheres to company standards and production deadlines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD software with a proven track record in solid modeling and part detailing.
• Associate degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create complete solid models and detailed part drawings with proper mating and constraints.
• Develop pump skid and piping layouts for efficient space utilization and fluid flow.
• Incorporate basic structural design to ensure skid frame integrity and safety.
• Generate new part numbers and BOMs in ERP when new parts are required.
• Prepare standardized approval drawings for customer review and project documentation.
• Release final projects to the manufacturing shop floor with formal release sheets.
• Maintain drawing accuracy to minimize costs and maximize shop throughput.
• Communicate realistic project due dates to support department scheduling.
• Share ideas to improve drafting workflows and departmental productivity.
• Adapt to other duties to support department needs.
