Job summary

Regulus is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Electronic Warfare R&D team and advance mechanical development of counter-UAV detection and jamming systems.

You will lead full-cycle mechanical design from concept through prototyping to production, perform thermal and structural analyses, select materials, manage documentation in SolidWorks and PLM/PDM, and collaborate across disciplines in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary product development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience with thermal simulations for electronic systems.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems.
• Strong English communication.
• DFM/DFA experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle mechanical design of electronic and RF system assemblies from concept to production.
• Perform structural, thermal, and modal analyses.
• Select materials, components, and manufacturing technologies.
• Manage development and engineering processes end-to-end with quality and supply chain standards.
• Prepare drawings, production files, and BOMs according to ISO standards.
• Develop mechanical solutions for multidisciplinary systems (mechanics, RF, electronics, aeronautics).
• Define and design cable assemblies, including routing within the system.
• Conduct verification and validation testing.
• Work with SolidWorks for design and PLM/PDM for production documentation management.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare R&D team and work on mechanical development of advanced counter-UAV detection and jamming systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle mechanical design of electronic and RF system assemblies - from initial architectural concept, thermal and structural analysis, and PCB integration to volume serial production
• Perform structural, thermal, and modal analyses.
• Select suitable materials, components, and manufacturing technologies.
• Manage development and engineering processes end-to-end: from concept, through prototyping, to full production implementation, ensuring quality and supply chain standards.
• Prepare drawings, production files, and BOMs according to ISO standards.
• Develop mechanical solutions for multidisciplinary systems (mechanics, RF, electronics, aeronautics).
• Define and design cable assemblies, including cable routing and integration within the system
• Conduct verification and validation testing.
• Work with advanced CAD tools: SolidWorks for design and PDM for production document management.

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of experience in mechanical design -- Must
• Hands-on experience in the design and development of products for multidisciplinary, defense, automotive, or medical device industries.
• Experience in performing and/or leading thermal simulations for electronic systems
• Proficiency in SolidWorks - Must
• Ability to define required components and read and interpret component datasheets
• Strong hands-on approach, with experience in building and testing prototypes, identifying design issues, and implementing design improvements
• Experience working with subcontractors across various disciplines, including component definition, enclosures, fasteners, and related mechanical components
• Experience working with PLM/PDM systems.
• High-level English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Independent, detail-oriented, and team player.
• Experience with DFM/DFA processes -- Advantage.
• Experience working in a startup environment -- Advantage
