Job description

Overview

Our client is looking for an Experienced Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate’s experience should be working in an engineering office that designs heating, air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and/or healthcare buildings.

Experience Required:

• Mechanical engineer or designer with 15+ years of experience in design of heating and air conditioning for commercial, hospitals, and other healthcare buildings. Primary experience should be working in an MEP engineering office whose primary clients are architects.
• Extensive knowledge in the design and construction of chilled water, hot water, and steam; air handling systems; and building automation systems related to heating and air conditioning systems is required.
• Meeting and communicating with clients; providing quality control reviews of mechanical drawings; conducting site inspections; and editing book specifications.
• Perform site inspections and possibly commissioning when needed. Overnight travel is minimal.
• Experience using AutoCad and Revit is required.
• Experience using Trace 700 for building cooling loads is a plus; and using Trace 700 also for energy models is an additional plus.
