Job summary

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent with 7+ years in electronic enclosure design.
• Experience with Creo or NX for 3D modeling and drawings.
• Ability to perform 2D tolerance analysis and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design modular and fixed chassis and cards to meet customer specs.
• Create 3D CAD models using Creo or NX with detailed drawings.
• Perform GD&T-based tolerance analyses for complex assemblies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to resolve design issues.
• Exchange PCB IDF files with ECAD teams and address mechanical integrity concerns.
• Host peer and cross-functional design reviews.
• Ensure proficiency with 3D MCAD tools (Creo/NX).
• Apply sheet metal, plastic, and die-cast tooling knowledge.
• Adhere to EMI, safety, and other standards.

We are actively looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with 7+ years of experience in designing electronic enclosures for advanced hardware products.

Job Summary:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of experience designing electronic enclosures.

Design and deliver next-generation networking systems (modular and fixed chassis) and cards that meet customer requirements.

Develop innovative mechanical solutions using sheet metal, plastic, and die-cast materials that comply with EMI, safety, and other standards.

Create 3D CAD models using Creo or NX and detailed drawings applying GD&T principles.

Perform 2D tolerance analysis for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.

Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to resolve design issues impacting field or production.

Exchange PCB design IDF files with ECAD/hardware teams and address mechanical integrity concerns.

Host peer and cross-functional design reviews.

Proficiency in 3D MCAD tools (Creo/NX).

Experience with sheet metal design for mid to high volumes, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.

Strong knowledge of sheet metal, plastic, and die-cast tooling.
