Job summary

LHH is seeking a Design Engineer to transform concepts into manufactured equipment. The role involves creating detailed drawings and 3D models, developing product designs with CAD, and collaborating across engineering, project management, vendors and customers.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's or Bachelor's in Mechanical Design Engineering, has at least 3 years of AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience, and thrives in a fabrication/manufacturing environment with multi-project accountability.

Qualifications

I'm currently partnering with a growing engineering and manufacturing organization seeking a Design Engineer to join their team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning concepts into reality, collaborating across departments, and designing innovative equipment and systems in a fast-paced project environment.

What You'll Do:

• Create detailed drawings and 3D models from customer and engineering specifications.
• Develop product and process designs using CAD software and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings for accuracy, maintain revisions, and ensure design standards are met.
• Support project execution by managing design responsibilities within budget and schedule constraints.
• Participate in customer meetings and occasional site visits as required.

What We're Looking For:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience using both AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Strong mechanical design, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively across teams.

Work Schedule: Onsite

Compensation: $80-110k base
