Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead design and development of E-House structures and mechanical assemblies. You will ensure structural integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability while optimizing cost and addressing seismic requirements.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams from concept through production. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree and 4+ years of experience with welded/fabricated structures,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years’ experience designing E-Houses, enclosures or large fabricated structures.
• Experience with welded/fabricated structures.
• Understanding seismic, environmental and load requirements.
• Experience taking designs into production.
• Technical/project leadership experience.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo or similar CAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex E-House structures and mechanical assemblies.
• Ensure structural integrity, thermal performance, manufacturability and cost optimisation including seismic design.

A leading engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to take a technical role in the design and development of complex E-House structures and mechanical assemblies.

You’ll be responsible for structural integrity, thermal performance, manufacturability, cost optimisation and seismic design, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams from concept through to production.

Key Requirements:
