The Mechanical Design Engineer develops concepts, designs, implements, and documents engineering solutions for various engineering tests for our customers, and the company’s products (industrial machines, such as spin pits and balancing machines) by performing the following duties:
Strong experience with mechanical system design, including machine structures and electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Demonstrated ability to perform FEA and structural analysis.
Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and engineering drawings.
Experience planning and executing engineering tests and analyzing results.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel up to 30%, including occasional international travel.
Experience with the use of Microsoft Office programs, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc. Experience with ERP/MRP system is a plus; SAP preferred. Proficiency in CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
