Victory Truck Body, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support product design and development of assemblies, BOMs, and components for Engineered to Order products using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault, and Rootstock ERP.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills in an industrial shop and collaboration with Design, Operations, and Sales to deliver customer-specific solutions. In-person, Glassboro, NJ, with opportunities for product improvement and production support.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience creating detailed engineering/product drawings for manufactured mechanical components.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and process improvement in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.) and 3D modeling tools.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process optimization techniques is preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical skills and ability to work in an industrial shop environment.

Responsabilidades

• Create detailed drawings for fabrication (parts, tools, workstations) for fabrication.
• Design and develop parts/assemblies with multi-level BOMs and 3D models.
• Ensure designs use producible manufacturing, assembly, and installation practices.
• Assist in failure analysis and rework of non-conforming products to identify root causes.

The company emphasizes a culture that values teamwork, personal growth, and equality.**Summary: **The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting product design and development of assemblies, sub-assemblies, Bills of Material and components for Engineered to Order (ETO) products using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Autodesk Vault, and Rootstock ERP. This position will work in collaboration with Design Engineers, Operations, and Sales to provide designs per customer's request. This position requires hands-on mechanical skills with the ability to work in an industrial shop environment.Key Responsibilities and Focus:Create detailed drawings for fabrication (including parts, tools, and workstations) to be sent to the fabrication work centerDesign and develop parts/assemblies with supporting documents including multi-level bill of materials, 3D models, and production ready drawing packages and other technical documentationEnsure that designs use current manufacturing, assembly and installation practices that result in a producible productAssist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause ensuring customers are set up for successCommunicate with sales and customers, as necessary, to obtain information for specific applications to quote new business including preparing drawings and related documentationAssist with product improvement and support new product developmentSupport manufacturing operations and production from proof-of-concept (POC) phase through production stabilization utilizing efficient practicesDesign and optimize mechanical components, systems, and layouts using CAD and simulation toolsAssist with optimizing production processes and workflowsParticipate in departmental and/or cross-functional teams to achieve organizational strategic goalsPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, BSME preferred2+ years of experience creating detailed engineering/product drawings for manufactured mechanical components, including bill of materials generation requiredProven experience in mechanical design and process improvement in a manufacturing or industrial setting requiredProficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.) and 3D modeling toolsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process optimization techniques is preferredHands-on mechanical skills requiredExperience in automotive, sheet metal, or steel design is a plusFamiliarity with CRM/ERP software required (Salesforce & Rootstock is a plus)Strong communication skills, both written and oralProficiency with MS Office SuiteAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyAdditional Requirements:Ability to commute to Glassboro, NJ is requiredThis is and In-Person role with no option for remote workWorking knowledge of MIG welding processes and weld design principles is considered a plus
