Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services is seeking an experienced mechanical design/drafting professional to join our team in Cambridge, OH. The role involves designing or integrating new components into existing installations and creating tailored BOMs for customer installations.

Responsibilities include proposing fits and tolerances, updating drawings and BOMs, and supporting engineering with technical data for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or Drafting.
• Associate of Applied Science in Drafting or Design.
• Mechanical Drafting Technical Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Design or integrate new components into existing installations.
• Develop and propose fits, tolerances, and design changes for engineering review.
• Define and select components, assemblies, or systems meeting standards and requirements.
• Create new Bills of Materials (BOMs) for customer installations.
• Modify existing BOMs and drawings to support revisions or enhancements.
• Assist engineers in preparing technical data for internal and external customers.
• Process Engineering Work Requests with necessary drawing or BOM updates.
• Collaborate with ACI/Cooper drafting resources to ensure accuracy and timely updates of drawings.
