Job summary

A leading construction company is seeking 2 Mechanical/CWI Inspectors for an active power/industrial project in Tennessee with an immediate start. The role requires candidates with active AWS CWI certification and proven experience in piping and structural steel inspections. Responsibilities include field inspections, ensuring compliance with specifications, and creating inspection reports. The position offers hourly pay with 1.5x overtime for hours over 40 per week, along with per diem, if eligible. Contract duration is 3-4 months with potential for extension.

• Proven inspection experience with piping and structural steel.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of piping fabrication/installation and structural steel activities.
• Verify work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct and document weld inspections in line with AWS requirements.
• Support NCRs/deficiency tracking, punch list items, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with construction teams/subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Create daily inspection reports and maintain QA/QC documentation.

Job description

We are hiring 2 Mechanical/CWI Inspectors for an active power/industrial construction project in Tennessee with an immediate start. The team needs inspectors with strong piping and structural steel experience.

• # of Openings: 2
• Hours: 58 hours per week (Mon–Fri: 10 hours / Saturday: 8 hours | Both day/night shift expected)
• Contract duration: 3-4 months with possibility of extension
• Contract type: W2
• Pay: Hourly with 1.5OT for hours over 40/week
• Per diem: Offered to candidates who meet the distance requirements
• Note: No C2C (solicitation emails will be ignored) / Candidates must be eligible and authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship or visa.
