Hours/Schedule: M-F 7-5

Type: 6-month Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $30-$35/hr

Must Haves:

• 2+ years experience welding
• Active AWS certification
• High School Diploma OR GED
• Clean background and motor vehicle report/comfortable with drug screening

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a large engineering consulting firm in Elizabeth City, NC. This Inspector is needed to perform daily inspection of construction projects monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings and project specifications. Inspections may cross multiple inspection disciplines or within a specified area of expertise including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, etc. Inspection may include visual/physical inspection and field testing to verify conformance with the plans and specifications. Prepare inspection reports and provide written documentation of observations and testing of materials. Communicate findings with the engineer or project manager and when requested collaborate with the project team on solutions to potential issues. This candidate will also receive a company vehicle after 1 month on contract to drive to project site within 30 minutes to an hour from the office, they will be paid for time in the car/commute.
