Job summary

TDIndustries in Wisconsin is seeking an estimator for commercial mechanical controls and automation projects. You will develop detailed material and labor estimates, based on plans, historical data and engineering concepts, and prepare conceptual estimates when plans are missing.

You will review plans, select vendors, evaluate quotes, and work with business development to finalize proposals. You will maintain estimating files and stay current on piping, sheet metal and installation practices.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• 2+ years of estimating or project management experience in the commercial mechanical space.
• Estimating or project management experience in the commercial mechanical controls space is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produces detailed material and labor estimates for commercial mechanical controls/automation systems.
• Prepares comprehensive proposal letters and evaluates materials and pricing meticulously.
• Reviews project plans and specifications to understand scope and final pricing with the business development team.
• Evaluates vendor quotes for technical adherence and quality, and guides vendor selection.
• Maintains estimating project files and stays current on piping, plumbing and sheet metal estimating and installation practices.
