Job summary
RFA Engineering is seeking an entry to experienced Mechanical Controls Engineer to work onsite at our customer’s world-class facility in the U.S. You will join a cross-functional team to develop, test, and optimize machine systems, combining mechanical engineering with controls for hydraulics and powertrains.
You will use MATLAB/Simulink and related tools, perform testing, analysis, and validation from concept through production, and contribute to performance improvements across off-highway
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of machine systems incl hydraulics, powertrains, drivelines, thermodynamics, or vehicle dynamics.
- Internships or roles involving mechanical systems, testing, or product development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate control strategies for electro-hydraulic and powertrain systems.
- Evaluate machine performance through testing and analysis.
- Create models using MATLAB/Simulink and related tools.
- Conduct machine testing, calibration, and performance tuning.
- Analyze data to identify efficiency, reliability, and durability gains.
- Support architecture, requirements, and performance specs.
