Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Construction Project Manager to lead mechanical and plumbing projects in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. You will manage schedules, budgets, RFIs, and subcontractors, ensuring projects meet safety and quality standards from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of hands-on experience with HVAC systems, piping, and coordination of trades.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing mechanical construction projects.
  • Expertise in mechanical and plumbing work, HVAC systems, and piping.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors to high quality/efficiency standards.
  • Experience preparing RFIs and project documentation.
  • Strong takeoff skills calculating materials, labor, and time.
  • Excellent problem-solving and timely issue resolution.
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong communication and leadership; ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar software.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Salaries: $110,000 - $165,000 per year.

Experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background managing commercial and mechanical construction projects throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Baltimore from preconstruction through closeout. Skilled in overseeing HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems; coordinating subcontractors; preparing RFIs; managing schedules and budgets; and maintaining project documentation in fast-paced environments. Proven ability to lead field and office teams, support client relationships, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within scope. Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management processes with a strong focus on organization, communication, and problem-solving.

  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, as well as any other relevant laws and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, managing mechanical construction projects.

  • PMP or similar certification would be considered an asset.
