SPC Mechanical Corporation in Wendell, NC is seeking a seasoned construction project manager to oversee mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring planning, execution, and completion while managing risks, costs, quality, and customer expectations.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop detailed project plans, control budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the workflow: Ensure project elements move smoothly, removing bottlenecks with SPC Departments, vendors and subcontractors.
• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Budgeting and Cost Management: Manage budgets, track expenses, and control costs during the lifecycle.
• Scheduling and Time Management: Create detailed schedules with Primavera P6 or MS Project and coordinate milestones.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to tasks based on plan.
• Risk Management: Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies with contingency plans.
• Claim Prevention: Maintain records to protect SPC’s right to claim and prevent claims.
• Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure work meets standards; conduct inspections and address deficiencies.
• Contract Administration: Oversee contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers; manage disputes.
• Customer and End-User Management: Communicate status and milestones to customers and teams.
• Change Management: Evaluate changes, document impact, obtain approvals, and inform teams.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep plans, schedules, progress reports, and minutes up to date.
• Closure and Evaluation: Complete projects with deliverables, handover, and post-project reviews.
• Communication: Act as primary contact for stakeholders and provide regular updates.
• Safety Management: Implement safety policies, train workers, and ensure regulatory compliance.
