Job summary

FTI in Opelika, Alabama is seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Construction / Mechanical to support project managers from bid stage through project completion on mechanical construction builds. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with 10–20% travel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager from bid stage through project completion.
• Coordinate with project management to release and track long-lead materials to keep projects on time and budget.
• Interface with vendors to ensure submittal timelines and equipment delivery.
• Assist in scheduling to create milestones and labor breakout details.
• Participate in weekly project meetings to communicate needs and status.
