Job summary

The Planet Group represents a mechanical contracting firm in the Detroit metro area seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater projects in Farmington Hills, MI. This on-site role focuses on coordinating schedules, budgets, vendors, and field staff to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include reviewing vendor data, maintaining logs, preparing schedules and budgets, and coordinating with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors to resolve issues and keep projects on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a project manager within water/wastewater industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with solid organization and time management.
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and schedules.

• Maintain Logs (Shop Drawings, Procurement, RFIs, RFQs, Change Orders).
• Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets.

• Maintain relationships with Owners, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors.
• Timely recognition of project issues.

Our client is a mechanical contracting company in the metropolitan Detroit area who specializes in Water and Wastewater Treatment Projects, and is looking to hire a Project Manager. The company has been serving the needs of Southeast Michigan municipalities for over 60 years, maintaining, updating, and providing new process piping and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and schedules
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple project tasks and respond to client requests
• Knowledge of construction and scheduling techniques
