Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated in Parsippany, NJ, seeks a Mechanical Construction Engineer to join our Construction Services Department on municipal infrastructure projects in New York and New Jersey.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of field inspection experience, a high school diploma (B.S. in ME or CE preferred), and OSHA 10 certification. Willingness to work day and night shifts and travel as required.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience inspecting construction work.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred.
• OSHA 10-hour construction safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and inspect municipal infrastructure projects for code compliance.
• Prepare and process construction records: RFIs, submittals, pay apps, and change orders.
• Document field activities and coordinate with owner and contractor.
• Ensure daily diaries and quantity calculations are accurate using MS Word/Excel.
• Monitor site safety and quality to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
