Job summary

Domtar in Rothschild, Wisconsin seeks a Mechanical Co-op student to join the mill team for spring and fall sessions. You will assist with quality control, process improvement, and cross-disciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled as freshmen–juniors in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering or Paper Science with a 3.0 GPA, and have CAD and MS Office skills. Strong problem solving and communication abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Freshman, sophomore or junior enrolled in an accredited degree program.
• GPA minimum 3.0 and major aligned to the pulp and paper/engineering field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support quality control improvements on paper machines and processes.
• Assist in analyzing production costs and productivity issues.
• Document findings and update project drawings and materials.
• Work with electrical and mechanical teams on piping and instrumentation projects.
