Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or related fields.
• Coursework in HVAC design, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with BIM modeling software (Revit/AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Internship experience at an engineering firm is preferred and shows interest in built environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn about HVAC systems and assist in detailed engineering design calculations.
• Prepare technical drawings, schedules, and reports in collaboration with the team.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary projects with senior engineers and architects.

As a Mechanical Co-op, you will learn about HVAC systems and collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop creative, energy-efficient buildings that provide aesthetics to their physical surroundings and utility to their occupants. Your key duties

• Embrace the latest technologies to improve performance and sustainability
• Assist performing detailed HVAC engineering building services design and calculations
• Take part in the preparation of technical drawings, schedules, and reports
• Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and with senior engineers
• Ensure service and project work are carried out to an excellent standard

Your Skills And Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering preferred; however, candidates pursuing related engineering degrees such as Civil, Environmental or Sanitary Engineering are encouraged to apply
• Coursework in mechanical/HVAC design, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and/or thermodynamics
• Familiarity with BIM modeling software, such as Revit and AutoCAD, a plus
• Internship experience at engineering related firm preferred, and proven interest in the built environment
• Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
