Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a highly skilled R&D S&E Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Calibration, Temperature, and Measurement Assurance team. You will support metrology, calibration, and measurement system development at the Primary Standards Laboratory, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams across the NSE and NIST.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and the ability to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.
• Experience applying engineering and measurement uncertainty analyses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and metrology tasks for dimensional measurements.
• Support development of measurement systems and data analysis techniques.
• Prepare reports and calibration certificates for customers.
