Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to focus on packaging electronics and modules within complex assemblies, ensuring designs meet thermal, structural, manufacturability, and reliability requirements.

The role requires hands-on Creo CAD, Windchill PLM experience, GD&T knowledge, and experience with actuators and electro-optical systems. A 4+ year engineering background is required, with various degree options depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience; or Associates with 6+ years; without degree 10+ years.
• Hands-on CAD experience, specifically Creo.
• PLM software experience, Windchill.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with actuators, custom gear trains, electro-optical systems, or materials testing.

The Mechanical Engineer will be focusing on packaging electronics and modules within complex assemblies, ensuring designs meet thermal, structural, manufacturability, and reliability requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical packaging, electro-mechanical assemblies, and precision hardware design to support the development of advanced electronic and mechanical systems.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience. Open to someone with an Associates degree if 6+ years of experience. If no degree, 10+ years of experience.
• Hands on experience with CAD. Specifically with Creo.
• PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software experience, specifically with Windchill
• Knowledge with Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T), ASME Y14.5
• Experience with either actuators, custom gear trains, electro-optical systems, and materials testing.
