Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group seeks a CAD Designer to create and maintain precise 2D drawings and 3D models, supporting engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure designs are clearly documented and manufacturable.

You will collaborate with production to manage routings and BOMs, generate part numbers, and prepare documentation for ECNs and ECRs, while assisting with part/material identification and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Design or Engineering Technology required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience generating detailed mechanical drawings per ANSI Y14.1 and Y14.5.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use SolidWorks to create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Experience with BOMs and routings in MRP/ERP systems (Infor XA Powerlink a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models; issue revisions and docs.
• Create inspection sheets and component/assembly documentation.
• Develop and maintain routings and BOMs aligned with production best practices.
• Create new part numbers and designs for sales/customer orders.
• Generate documents for ECNs and review ECRs.
• Support internal teams; identify parts and help troubleshoot processes.
