Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc is seeking a Co-Op student to assist engineers in fulfilling design requests for our range of power products. Under supervision, you will create 2D cross sections, 3D models, BOMs, and drawings to support analysis, manufacturing, and service.

The role emphasizes CAD work (Pro-E / AutoCAD), BOM maintenance, and collaboration with internal teams. You will gain hands-on experience developing new products for industrial, residential, and retail applications while balancing

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a BS degree (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Civil Engineering).
Understanding or working knowledge of Pro-E and/or AutoCAD experience.
Microsoft Office experience (including Excel).
Proficient oral and written communication and able to write clearly and succinctly to get a message across.

Responsibilities

Designs, validates, and brings new products to market.
Provide new product development support across product areas including CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
Interfacing with internal company personnel and providing technical support for assigned projects.
Utilizes CAD or CAE systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
Travel to other Generac facilities as necessary.
