Gables Search Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical BIM Engineer in Illinois to design and coordinate detailed BIM models using Autodesk Revit for complex power distribution projects. You will bridge engineering, project management, customers, and manufacturing to ensure accurate, coordinated designs from concept through fabrication.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with one remote day per week, flexible hours, and a base salary of $95,000–$115,000 with an annual bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of experience in BIM, MEP, or design engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (required).

Responsabilités

• Develop and coordinate Revit-based BIM models for electrical and mechanical systems

Position Summary

The Senior Mechanical BIM Engineer will develop and coordinate detailed BIM models and layouts for electrical and mechanical systems within complex power distribution projects.

This role acts as a key link between engineering, project management, customers, and manufacturing, ensuring designs are accurate, coordinated, and executable in real-world production and installation environments.

This is not a purely desk-based design role—you will be involved in coordination, problem-solving, and supporting projects that move from design into fabrication and implementation.

What You’ll Bring

• 2–7 years of experience in BIM, MEP, or design engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (required)
• Experience working with a consulting engineering firm or electrical contractor supporting commercial or industrial projects
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and construction documents
• Experience coordinating MEP systems within a BIM environment
• Working knowledge of tools such as Navisworks or similar coordination software is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to take general direction and translate it into accurate design deliverables
