Job summary

DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG INC in Waller, TX is seeking a Mechanical Automation Engineer 2 to join the Production Engineering group, supporting stamping, tubing, coils, paint, plastics, and assembly with a robotics focus.

You will conceptualize, design, order, and program automation equipment, manage capital projects, and collaborate with multi-functional teams to meet schedule and budget requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years in a production/manufacturing engineering role.
• 1+ year of 3D CAD design experience and 1+ year working with industrial robots.

Responsibilities

• Develop equipment specifications and cost breakdowns for automation equipment.
• Design automation cell layouts, robot tooling, and fixtures using 3D CAD.
• Create CAD drawings and documentation with BOMs and cost analyses.
• Program robot systems including sizing, simulation, and control.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to complete projects on time and budget.
