Marine Travelift is excited to add Mechanical Assistants to our team. This hourly, full-time position assists Mechanical Assemblers with machine builds.
Responsibilities
- Complete entry level assembly work and prepare parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics to be added to the build equipment utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques
- Produce boat hoist and lift components by assisting with subassemblies to produce one, large product.
- Assist with engines and compartments installation that includes pumps, tires, conduit and hydraulic lines.
- Train with mechanical assemblers to increase mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills as it relates to machine builds and grow into an assembler position.
- Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts
- Use overhead and jib cranes as needed to move steel beams and columns
- All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
Qualifications
- Have basic mechanical knowledge and/or be mechanically inclined
- Be able to follow verbal and written work instructions in English
- Be able to read blueprints
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
2 nd shift works Monday-Thursday; 2:30PM-1:00AM (3-day weekend); Enjoy 2nd shift differential pay!
