Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Wisconsin is seeking an assembly technician for 1st shift (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) to read blueprints and instructions and assemble products to established quality standards.

Responsibilities include soldering and crimping, identifying wire sizes, operating crimping equipment, and preparing products for shipment. Knowledge of IPC training and safe, organized work areas is expected.

Qualifications

  • Reads, learns, and interprets blueprints and work instructions to assemble products to guidelines and quality standards.
  • Interprets ruler measurements for precise assembly.
  • Advanced soldering and crimping skills required.
  • Identifies various wire sizes for production and assembly.
  • Changes dies on bench top crimpers and operates crimping machine.
  • Preps products for shipment via kitting and bagging processes.
  • Assembles or modifies electronic equipment, aligns components for wiring.
  • Performs in-process inspections and documentation per quality standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Read, learn, understand, and interpret blueprints and work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Read, understand, and interpret more complex ruler measurements.
  • Advanced soldering and crimping skills.
  • Ability to identify and pick out various sizes of wire for production.
  • Knowledge of crimping machine and changing of dies in bench top crimper.
  • Knowledge of kitting-bagging to prepare product for shipment.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete assembly of components or products and prepare products and other items for shipment.
  • Assemble or modify electronic equipment, position, align and adjust work pieces and electronic parts to facilitate wiring assembly.
  • Additional responsibilities, such as packaging and/or spot-checking others work
  • Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during and/or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of all positions - go to person for assembly questions.
  • Responsible for In-process inspection of all class 3 work, proper documentation, and proper method of assembly.
  • Capable of setting up jobs and filling out paperwork for production.
  • Able to troubleshoot as needed.
  • Advanced knowledge of IPC Training Modules.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions
