Job summary

Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to perform complex assembly per specifications. This full-time, on-site role reports to the NPI Supervisor and requires a high school diploma and 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.

We are looking for a **Mechanical Technician** to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the NPI Supervisor and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.**Role and Responsibilities:*** Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.* Select proper materials from kit carts to complete standard work.* Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas and 5S principles.* Use designated inspection equipment to inspect completed work.* Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.* Operate hoist and power lift stand* Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products* Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality; resolves any identified problems, and alerts appropriate chain of command.* Could be required to travel to other Bloom facilities within the Fremont locations.* Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner* Other duties as assigned. **Skills and Experience:** * High school or equivalency diploma required* 3-5 years of manufacturing experience* Prior manufacturing experienced preferred* Basic computer skills* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal* Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.* Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization* Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships* Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing preferred.* Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs) required to ensure the safety of the employee and others on the manufacturing floor. **Physical Requirements (optional):** * Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time.* Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed.* Must have excellent hand-eye coordination* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Bloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
