Job summary

Marine Travelift is seeking dedicated Mechanical Assemblers for 1st and 2nd shifts to build customized boat handling systems, including hoists and transporters. Training is provided in-house, and prior mechanical skills with strong attention to detail are required.

The roles involve reading blueprints, assembling subassemblies, and installing hydraulic and electrical components in a hands-on environment. Positions include 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 AM–3:00 PM; Fri 6:00 AM–12:00 PM) and 2nd shift

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Prior mechanical experience or strong mechanical aptitude.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to follow verbal and written work instructions in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boat hoist components and subassemblies into a finished product.
• Install engines, compartments, pumps, tires, conduit and hydraulic lines.
• Mount parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto large equipment using power tools and hand wrenches.
• Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts for final assembly.
• Utilize overhead and jib cranes to move steel beams and columns as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As an Assembler you are responsible for building custom machines including boat hoists and other material handling equipment. We are proud to offer in-house job training for all our team members. Previous mechanical skills and attention to detail are required for this career path.

1st shift – Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM-3:00PM; Friday, 6:00AM-12:00PM

2nd shift – Monday-Thursday; 2:30PM-1:00AM (3-day weekend)

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will...

• Produce boat hoist and lift components by assembling parts and subassemblies to produce one, large product.
• Install engines and compartments, pumps, tires, conduit and hydraulic lines.
• Assemble and install parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto large equipment utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques
• Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts
• Use overhead and jib cranes as needed to move steel beams and columns
• All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

• Have experience reading blueprints
• Have previous mechanical experience and/or be mechanically inclined
• Have high attention to detail
• Be able to follow verbal and written work instructions in English
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
