Marine Travelift, based in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking an Equipment Builder for our machine-building team on 1st and 2nd shifts. You will assemble boat hoists, marine forklifts, and hydraulic transporters, following blueprints and detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with mechanical systems or hands-on trades.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assembles boat hoist and lift components into one product.
• Installs engines, compartments, pumps, tires, conduit, and hydraulics.
• Assembles parts and hydraulics onto large equipment using power tools.
• Lifts and stacks subassemblies and parts.
• Operates overhead and jib cranes to move steel.
• Other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

Marine Travelift is excited to be adding full-time Equipment Builders to our 1st and 2nd shift teams. As an Equipment Builder, you are responsible for building our custom machines including boat hoists, marine forklifts, and industrial lift. It's cool stuff! We are proud to offer in-house job training for all our team members. Previous mechanical skills and attention to detail are required for this career path.

1st shift – Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM-3:00PM; Friday, 6:00AM-12:00PM

2nd shift – Monday-Thursday; 2:30PM-1:00AM (3-day weekend)

As an Equipment Builder, you will…

• Produce boat hoist and lift components by assembling parts and subassemblies to produce one, large product.
• Install engines and compartments, pumps, tires, conduit and hydraulic lines.
• Assemble and install parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto large equipment utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques
• Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts
• Use overhead and jib cranes as needed to move steel beams and columns
• All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

We are looking for you to…

• Have experience reading blueprints
• Have previous mechanical experience and/or be mechanically inclined
• Have high attention to detail
• Be able to follow verbal and written work instructions in English
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
