Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components to completion per drawings and work instructions.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and fabrication prints.
• Perform product assembly according to instructions with safety and quality in mind.
• Use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Work with production schedules and communicate issues to leadership.
• Assist others and contribute to shop organization and ISO 9001 procedures.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Assembler performs the mechanical assembly and final integration of manufactured products while working from production drawings, specifications, and schedules. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on tool experience, and the ability to work accurately within established quality and safety requirements.

The client’s assembler position combines electrical and mechanical assembly and final product integration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and products to completion.
• Read and interpret mechanical assembly and fabrication drawings.
• Perform product assembly according to drawings and work instructions.
• Use hand tools and other assembly equipment safely and effectively.
• Work independently while following established production schedules.
• Verify parts and components are properly installed and assembled.
• Communicate quality or production issues to Shop Leads or supervisors.
• Assist coworkers with additional production tasks as needed.
• Participate in shop cleanup and organization.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality-system requirements.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

The original assembler JD requires drawing interpretation, physical assembly aptitude, advanced hand-tool knowledge, independent work, and communication with production leadership regarding quality and schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly prints.
• Strong knowledge of common hand tools.
• Ability to measure, align, fasten, and assemble components accurately.
• Electrical wiring familiarity is helpful but not required for the mechanical pay tier.
• Ability to follow production schedules and work instructions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds when required.
