Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Lafayette, IN to assemble diesel and natural gas engines using blueprints and work instructions. You will use hand, power, torque, and pneumatic tools, read blueprints and engineering drawings, perform troubleshooting, and safely operate cranes/hoists.

Document work in computer systems and follow safety PPE rules. The role is contract-to-hire, onsite in Lafayette (47905) with pay up to $22.47/hr and multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly or related mechanical fields.
• Experience using hand, power, pneumatic, and torque tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes required.

Location: Lafayette, IN

Pay: $22.47/hr

Shift:

• 1st- 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
• 2nd- 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
• 3rd- 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Assemble diesel and natural gas engines using blueprints and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and pneumatic tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and basic repairs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.34 - $22.47/hr.
