Position: Mechanical Assembler - Overhaul & Repair (2nd Shift)

This is a union position.

Job Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to assemble and fit mechanical and electrical assemblies according to blueprints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints for all assemblies.
• Identify required parts and report missing or problematic components.
• Fabricate assemblies following engineering standards.
• Inspect own work; rework or repair as needed.
• Set up test equipment as per specifications.
• Conduct and document tests on units as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; trade school or mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, understand oral instructions, and read blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with setup, operation, and process execution within standard methods.
• Skill in inspecting work, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Proficiency with hand tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.

Physical Requirements

• 75% sitting, 25% standing.
• Reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Visual acuity including close, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 85 pounds.
