Job summary

Systems, LLC, an affiliate of Chamberlain Group, is a U.S.-based manufacturer of loading dock equipment, with manufacturing facilities in Germantown, Wisconsin.

We are hiring an entry-level assembler to fit, assemble and inspect parts using hand and power tools, operate cranes or hoists, maintain logs, and follow safety guidelines. A $2000 sign-on bonus is offered, plus benefits and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb and push/pull up to 100 lb.
• Able to stand, walk and sit.
• Able to see, talk, and hear.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
• Operate cranes, hoists, or lift tables.
• Perform basic inspection to ensure quality and specifications.
• Identify defects and report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain production records/logs and related documentation.
• Comply with health and safety guidelines and policies.
• Protect company information and maintain confidentiality.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date through workshops and reading.
• Contribute to team projects and related tasks.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform simple fitting and/or mechanical type assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units using a variety of hand tools, power tools, or equipment
• Operate cranes and hoists or lift tables
• Perform basic inspection to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards
• Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel
• Keep accurate production records/logs etc.
• Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
• Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measure and blueprints
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts/mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds

The pay range for this position is $17.93 - $25.76/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
