Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring for a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician at our Foley, AL facility. You will assemble and test critical components for the A320 Neo program, following detailed drawings and instructions to ensure precise fits and performance.

The role requires at least a HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of hands-on assembly experience. You will work on a fast-paced production line, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards while collaborating with teammates

Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Assemble and test critical components for the A320 Neo program.
• Follow detailed instructions and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly of parts.
• Utilize mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during assembly.
• Maintain a high level of precision and attention to detail while working on complex and intricate components.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and tools.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of assemblies.
• Keep accurate records of assembly processes and any issues encountered.
• Continuously monitor and maintain the quality of assembled components.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any updates, issues, or concerns.
• Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Adapt to changes in assembly processes and procedures as needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the company.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED
• Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In Mechanical Assembly Or Related Field
• Ability To Interpret And Understand Technical Drawings And Instructions
• Knowledge Of Basic Hand And Power Tools, Including Torque Wrenches And Pneumatic Tools
• Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Production Environment

Qualifications we prefer:

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble equipment..
• Experience with any of the following: hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Self-directed & action oriented with the ability to work in a team environment to resolve most questions and problems.
• Relevant manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction / facilities experience
