GE Vernova is seeking an entry-level General Assembly associate for our Gas Power Manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC. You’ll work on assembling, installing, aligning, and testing subassemblies following work instructions and using calibrated tools.

• High School diploma or equivalent required with 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, perform shop math and use precision measurement equipment.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM) and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts per work instructions.
• Perform preset calibration and final testing on sub-assemblies or complete units.
• Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per work instructions.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
• Collaborate in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing, safety, and productivity.
• Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Enter part data and log time using computer programs.
• Set up machines and inspect machined parts using setup sheets and method documents.

What You’ll Do:

• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts using appropriate tools and fixtures per work instructions
• Perform preset calibration and final testing on sub‑assemblies or complete units
• Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per work instructions
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.

• Utilize computer programs to enter part data (e.g., serial number), log time, look up instructions
• Utilize work instructions, set‑up sheets and method documents to correctly set up machines and inspect machined parts.
• Ability to work overtime, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work occasional weekend shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Required to wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes, with or without reasonable accommodation

What you’ll bring:

• Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Prefer 1+ years of related work experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, perform shop math, and use precision measurement equipment.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
