Job summary

Tennant Company in the United States is seeking a hands-on Assembler to join a production team, assembling machines from parts through finished goods. You will work across main line and sub-assembly stations, perform quality checks and follow established procedures to meet delivery deadlines.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical degree with 2–5 years of related experience, along with proficiency in mechanical and electrical assembly and a proven history of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Technical Degree or 2-5 years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Familiar with mechanical and electrical assembly concepts.
• History of continuous improvement in previous roles.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of products with complex functions.
• Proficient in multiple sub-assembly operations and main line stations.
• Perform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and organized.
• Understand, participate and focus on continuous improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot and adjust to build a quality product.
• Perform on a minimum of 4 overall stations, with at least two on the main line.
• Maintain company tools and equipment.
• Perform in-process quality checks and communicate results.
• Follow pre-established guidelines, procedures, plans and priorities set by the supervisor.
• Prioritize goals and rely on experience and judgment to plan work.
• Take on new activities or special assignments when given.
