U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC in Portland, TN is seeking an Assembler to produce parts by hand or with simple machinery under supervision. You will follow work instructions, inspect and assemble components, and ensure quality and safe operation on heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or relevant experience may be considered.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use various machines.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read simple words and numbers; basic arithmetic.
• Ability to apply common sense to instructions and solve simple problems.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and/or route sheets to assemble and pack products.
• Inspect machine at start of shift and note on check sheet.
• Clean and lubricate machinery as required.
• Inspect and place parts in designated trays.
• Meet specified quantity and quality guidelines.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Report faulty operation or defective material to supervisor.
• Conduct visual quality inspections.
• Operate with different surfaces and levels and on heavy machinery.
• Monitor machines and work in a fast-paced environment.
