Mechanical Assembler and Welder

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Mechanical Assembler and Welder for a company based in Canton, GA. You will work with advanced manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality blower components for critical industries.

Pay Rate

$19.32 per hour, with potential increases following on-the-job training.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Enjoy a three-day weekend! Some overtime opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and change over factory machinery including shears, riveting machines, spot welders, and roll form equipment.
• Perform welding operations using spot welders to assemble blower housings and components according to blueprints and customer specifications.
• Insert rivets and assemble housings, including shafts, wheels, and cutoff parts.
• Conduct visual inspections, perform quality checks using QF forms, and adjust machinery as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment to ensure quality.
• Pack finished assemblies onto pallets with proper labeling and documentation.
• Complete all required paperwork, labeling, and computer entries for time and production activities.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some welding, assembly, or mechanical experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to stand for 10–12 hours and perform repetitive tasks involving hands and shoulders.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and pass a lifting assessment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic required.
• Background check and drug screening required.
