Job summary

Dematic in Summerville, SC is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for a temp-to-perm role in a climate-controlled production area. Work Mon–Thu 6am–4:30pm, with overtime possible on Fridays and Saturdays. Starting at $20.00/hr as a temp and $21.00/hr after conversion, with increases every 6 months.

You will assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts, and may perform mechanical/electrical modifications to satisfy customer requirements. Must have mechanical inclination and tool knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some mechanical assembly experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts using drawings, schematics or verbal direction.
• Operate crane to move larger parts or equipment.
• Perform functional tests and inspections prior to final inspection.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and wiring harnesses.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work station.
