Dematic in Summerville, SC is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for a temp-to-perm role in a climate-controlled production area. Work Mon–Thu 6am–4:30pm, with overtime possible on Fridays and Saturdays. Starting at $20.00/hr as a temp and $21.00/hr after conversion, with increases every 6 months.

You will assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts, and may perform mechanical/electrical modifications to satisfy customer requirements. Must have mechanical inclination and tool knowledge.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some mechanical assembly experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts using drawings, schematics or verbal direction.
• Operate crane to move larger parts or equipment.
• Perform functional tests and inspections prior to final inspection.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and wiring harnesses.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work station.

Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks and/or masts in a climate controlled production area. Work 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs 6am - 4:30pm) with some Overtime on short notice on fridays and saturdays. Some mechanical assembly experience required. This position is temp to perm after 3 months. Bonus eligible position!

You will be assembling forklifts, pallet trucks or masks. You may also perform mechanical and electrical modifications to trucks in order to satisfy customer requirements.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts using engineering drawings, schematics or verbal direction
• Operate crane to move larger parts or equipment
• Perform functional tests and inspections to ensure product quality prior to delivery to the final inspection areaAssemble sub-assemblies and wiring harnesses
• Maintain a clean and orderly work station at all times

Qualifications:

• Automobile or truck mechanic experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Familiar with hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills required
• Attention to detail and quality a must
• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime on short notice
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a crane and forklift safely

Education:
