Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc.'s Grid Solutions segment seeks a careful assembler to unpack parts, inspect each one for function, and assemble breakers per drawings or prepare them for shipment.

You will follow Quality Control Procedures, document work, keep the area clean, and discuss any diagram or production-order issues with a supervisor. Weekend availability may be required to meet production needs at the Kentucky facility.

Qualifications

• Electromechanical experience or training.
• Quality background and attention to detail.
• Willing to work weekends when business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks parts and inspects each one for proper functioning and ensures completeness.
• Assembles breakers to standard drawings and customer specifications or prepares breakers for shipment or clean and prepares tanks and sub-assemblies for downstream assembly.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
• Performs assembly functions in accordance with Quality Control Procedures to ensure the output will meet QC and customer standards.
• Inspects own work to ensure that each breaker is properly assembled, vacuumed, pre-filled, and ready to test and ship.
• Documents work performed by filling out proper forms (labor, QCR’s, etc.).
• Cleans work area at the end of the shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned
