Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for our production line. You will follow prints and wiring diagrams to assemble units, using power and hand tools, and transport materials as needed.

Shift is 10:00PM–6:00AM, Mon-Fri with mandatory Saturday overtime. Base pay is $25.59/hr with a $5 diff and an additional $5 shift diff, totaling around $30.59–$35.59 per hour depending on schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models to meet production specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units using manual and powered hand tools according to customer specs.
• Measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use Windows-based software and CAD platforms to access and enter information.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for utilizing prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams in order to assemble product on the production line. This may include the use of power tools, hand tools, overhead hoists and fixtures to complete assembly and transport material to and from the work station. Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands.

Hours:10:00PM – 6:00AM Mon-Fri (Saturday Overtime Mandatory)

Base Pay $25.59 With Differential $30.59/hour

Shift Differential: $5.00

Key Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.

• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms. Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
