Job summary

Mercury Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to perform a range of production tasks on state-of-the-art electronics. The role requires 3+ years in electronics assembly/inspection, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

IPC-610/J-STD-001 experience is favorable, with a 2nd shift schedule (2:30pm–12:00am). In this role you will interpret schematics and routers, perform inspections to IPC standards, and collaborate on shift pass-downs while maintaining high quality

Qualifications

  • Requires 3+ years electronics assembly and/or inspection experience.
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Flexibility to meet production and customer needs.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and IPC/J-STD standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and inspect electronics per work instructions.
  • Interpret routers, instructions, and schematics for assembly.
  • Inspect assemblies to IPC standards.
  • Provide pass-downs between shifts.
  • Use hand/power tools and assembly palettes.
  • Apply materials per specifications under simulated conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

As a Mechanical Assembler you will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on a wide variety of state-of-the-art electronics. Mercury Systems is a manufacturing contractor for the Department of War, engineering and manufacturing mechanical assemblies and subassemblies to give our troops a technological advantage on the battlefield. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and initiative in your daily activities, while excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written will help you excel in this critical role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble, and inspect electronics per documented work instructions
  • Interpreting job routers, written instructions, and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics
  • Performing a variety of inspections with a focus on ensuring assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards
  • Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts
  • Using hand and/or power tools, and assembly palettes
  • Apply material according to specifications and under simulated conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift hours 2:30pm-12:00am
  • 3+ years of electronics assembly and/or inspection experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs
  • Must be able to lift and manipulate up to 25lbs for an extended period of time
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

This position requires you to haveor obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position
$38,300.00 - $76,600.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
$42,900.00 - $85,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
$45,200.00 - $90,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
