Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 1:30pm - 10:00pm)

Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Assembler uses blueprints and hand tools to build conveyor products.

  • Perform assembly based on drawings and supervisor instructions.
  • Self-inspect work to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Use computers to record assembly status.
  • Follow safety instructions and rules.
  • Work overtime and assigned shifts as needed.
  • Comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
  • Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of machine assembly experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and drawings.
  • Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, team-oriented.
  • Crane and forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
ADA Requirements
  • Medium work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Physical activities include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Visual acuity required for detailed inspection and assembly tasks.
Job Conditions
  • Inside environment with protection from weather but possible temperature changes.
  • Potential hazards include moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and exposure to chemicals.
  • Exposure to fumes, dust, oils, and other environmental factors.
  • Work in narrow aisles or passageways.
